1. Introduction

Welcome to LearnNow.lk (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using LearnNow.lk.

2. User Accounts

  • Users must provide accurate and truthful information when registering for an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and secure.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Courses, Content & Ownership

  • LearnNow.lk provides online courses developed by independent instructors.
  • Instructors retain ownership of their course content but grant LearnNow.lk a license to display, distribute, and promote it.
  • Users are prohibited from copying, reselling, or distributing course materials without explicit permission.

4. Certifications

  • Recorded Courses: A certificate of completion is issued upon watching all course videos. Skill development is not guaranteed unless students actively practice the material.
  • Live Classes: Certificates may be awarded upon completion, though some courses may require assignments or projects for certification.
  • Unless explicitly stated, LearnNow.lk certificates are not accredited.

5. Payments & Refunds

  • Refund Policy:
    • Users may request a full refund within 15 days of purchase, regardless of course progress.
    • Live classes are non-refundable if the student has completed over 50% of the course or has been absent for a significant portion of the sessions.
  • Instructor Earnings:
    • Instructors receive monthly payouts, processed after the refund period concludes.
    • Earnings are distributed based on LearnNow.lk’s revenue-sharing model; refund periods do not directly affect payout schedules.

6. Instructor Responsibilities

Instructors must ensure:

  • Their content is original and adheres to copyright laws.
    They respond to student inquiries and keep course materials updated.
  • Once a course is purchased, instructors cannot remove it. They may choose to discontinue sales to new students, but existing students retain lifetime access.
  • Instructors wishing to stop selling a course must notify LearnNow.lk in advance.

7. Marketplace Commissions & Instructor Payouts

  • LearnNow.lk operates on a revenue-sharing model.
    Commission rates may vary depending on discounts, promotions, or referral programs.
  • Payouts are processed monthly, following the conclusion of the refund period.

8. Extreme Discounts & Promotional Periods

  • During special occasions or promotions, courses may be offered at significant discounts.
  • Instructors opting out of these promotions must notify LearnNow.lk in advance.

9. Affiliate Program Terms

  • LearnNow.lk may offer an affiliate program, enabling users to earn commissions by referring new students.
  • Affiliates must avoid false advertising, spam, or deceptive marketing practices.

10. User Conduct

Users must not:

  • Post offensive, illegal, or misleading content.
  • Share login credentials or resell course access.
  • Manipulate ratings or reviews.
  • Violations may lead to account suspension or legal consequences.

11. Reviews & Ratings Policy

  • Users may submit reviews for courses.
  • Instructors cannot modify or remove reviews, though LearnNow.lk may remove fraudulent or harmful ones.

12. Banned Content Policy

  • Content promoting violence, discrimination, illegal activities, or misinformation is strictly prohibited.
  • AI-generated courses are permitted but must meet quality and originality standards.

13. Promotional & Discount Policy

  • LearnNow.lk may offer discounts and promotions.
  • Discounted sales may impact instructor earnings.

14. Instructor Support & Training

  • LearnNow.lk may provide coaching or guidance to help instructors enhance course quality.

15. Live Class Cancellations & Refunds

  • If a live class is canceled due to instructor issues, students may be offered a reschedule or refund.
  • Refunds are not available for live classes if the student has completed over 50% of the course or missed most sessions.

16. Student Code of Conduct

  • Students must engage respectfully in discussions and live classes.
  • Harassment or disruptive behavior may result in account suspension.

17. Multi-Language Course Terms

  • For translated courses, LearnNow.lk does not guarantee accuracy unless explicitly stated.

18. AI-Generated Content Policy

  • AI-generated courses are permitted but must meet high-quality standards.
  • Misleading or low-quality AI-generated content will be removed.

19. Intellectual Property

  • LearnNow.lk’s content, branding, and software are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Users and instructors may not use LearnNow.lk’s trademarks or materials without permission.

20. Limitation of Liability

  • LearnNow.lk is not liable for losses arising from course content, technical issues, or platform misuse.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.

21. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes must first be addressed through LearnNow.lk’s internal resolution process.
  • Unresolved disputes may proceed to mediation or arbitration under Sri Lankan law.
  • Users waive the right to join class-action lawsuits against LearnNow.lk.

22. Termination & Account Deletion

  • Users may delete their accounts at any time.
  • LearnNow.lk may terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

23. Changes to Terms

  • We may revise these Terms periodically. Continued use of LearnNow.lk after updates signifies acceptance of the new Terms.
